She Finally Conceived…Which Would've Been Great If She Wasn't Already Pregnant

Imagine having a condition so rare that your own doctor had to Google it.

That’s what happened to Kate Hill when she got pregnant not once but twice in the span of 10 days. Kate and her husband, Peter, had been trying to conceive for some time when she began hormone therapy. Then something crazy happened.

After having unprotected sex just once, Kate conceived twins. However, one of the them was non-viable. A few days later, she ovulated — something that normally doesn’t occur in pregnant women. Incredibly, she conceived for a second time.

Kate Hill didn’t set out to make medical history, but that’s exactly what she did. Conceiving while already pregnant, known as “superfetation,” is so rare, there have only been 10 documented cases in the world.
