When people call 9-1-1 for non-emergencies, it can be very frustrating for dispatchers.
And that’s completely understandable — it can potentially block the line for people who are actually experiencing life or death situations. But when 86-year-old Francis Royer reached Katherine Grady via 9-1-1, she asked for a simple favor that she couldn’t do by herself. Grady reacted in a surprising (and very kind) way.
This will definitely make you think twice about lending a hand to the elderly people in your neighborhood.
What a sweet thing to do!
This just goes to show that even the smallest task can help someone out tremendously. Grady deserves a shout-out for going above and beyond her duties as a 9-1-1 dispatcher.
