With Tiny Bursts Of Color, He Creates Stunning Portraits That Are Full Of Life

As we’ve seen time and time again, artists who approach the creative process without paying much mind to convention typically produce the most compelling work.

And Jeffrey Luque is one such artist. Although it’s abundantly clear that Luque knows his stuff as far as technical ability is concerned, his techniques are rebellious breaths of fresh air. This lifelong creator certainly isn’t a purist, and that propensity to avoid the straight and narrow is exactly what makes him great.

While looking at his larger-than-life portraits from afar is a pretty incredible experience, the visual impact is heightened when you get up-close and personal with his subjects.

As you can see, most of his pieces are pretty massive, so it only makes sense to view them from a few feet away.

Upon closer inspection, however, you’ll realize that Luque’s creative Devil really is in the details. As you can see in the images below, he adds color, depth, and dimension to his portraits with tiny designs, dots, and bursts of color that remain largely unseen from far away.
