What She Spent 60 Hours Doing Will Bring Out Your Inner Hogwarts-Loving Child

As you might imagine, writers are among the most avid readers, and author Meredith McCardle is no different.

After all, how would you be able to harness your craft as a writer without a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to produce thoughtful, engaging, and ultimately successful work? For McCardle, who writes young adult fiction, the Harry Potter series holds a special place in her heart.

And that’s why she gave it a special place in her home. A fan of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” the lover of letters projected the first page of the book to create what is basically the best accent wall in the history of accent walls.

She used a projector to lay out the text in the font that we all know and love.

From there, she spent hour upon painstaking hour painting over every last word.

Even when it was only halfway done, it was abundantly clear that the execution of this wizard-themed project was a resounding success.

I know approximately zero people who grew up in the wizarding world of Harry Potter who wouldn’t want something like this in their home.

You’ve probably come across some of McCardle’s work already if you’re a YAL fan, but if you can’t get enough, check out her website. You can also keep up with her artsy adventures on Facebook and Instagram.
