What Happens When You Tell Your Kids You Ate Their Candy? Truly Hilarious Things

On Halloween night, kids travel door to door collecting sugary treats, but after all that preparation and activity, I think it’s the parents who deserve a few goodies.

After all, who would look at you twice on Halloween night if you shoved a handful of chocolates in your mouth? With children experiencing a sugar rush, parents need a way to keep up, too.

For the past six years, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has been filming parents playing an unspeakably cruel (read: totally hilarious) trick on their little ones. Moms and dads all over the country break the news that they have eaten all their children’s candy before the tiny tots could even sneak a piece. Because this typically results in nuclear meltdowns, Kimmel decided to test the waters on his own two-year-old daughter.

Her reaction was equal parts strange, unexpected, and way too cute.

Of course, he couldn’t leave out other parents who were eager to enrage their kiddos! Check out the rest of their hysterical reactions below.
