It wasn’t until BBC South Today posted this video that I truly understood the joy that comes with watching deer do deer stuff.
While hanging out on the shore of southern England’s Poole Harbour, one lucky gent by the name of Dave Mott captured the most endearing footage ever of a little sika deer living his best, sassiest life.
I mean, come on. If you don’t smile at this, you might be dead inside.
Because I have no self control, I went ahead and scoured the internet for more deer bouncing away from their problems. Here are some of the best.
When you break a heel in the club and you don’t give a damn.
When you hear that pumpkin spice lattes are back.
When your student loan bill comes in and you don’t have time for all that.
When a stranger tries talking to you but you don’t understand social cues.
When you will do literally anything to avoid your responsibilities.
When someone says you’re “too old to cry in public like that” and “please leave or I’m calling the cops.”
When you look great in those new jeans and you don’t care who knows it.
When this is technically a springbok but it’s hilarious and I don’t care.
When someone thinks they’re gonna try it with you but they ain’t.
When some dude tries to talk to you but you’re a strong, independent woman and you don’t need no man.
To wrap it all up, here’s a fun fact: These hilariously cute movements are known as “stotting” or “pronking,” which may be the two ugliest words in the English language! In other news, I need a deer now.
