It’s not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game, right?
While I’m a big fan of Ligamx in Mexico, I haven’t kept up with other professional soccer leagues (or football to the best of the world) for quite some time, but from what I’ve heard, last night’s Euro 2016 Final between France and Portugal was an emotional one. Spoiler alert: Portugal clinched the victory by scoring the game’s only goal during the second period of overtime.
France took on serving as a host country for the tournament, making the loss even more jarring. Fans of both teams filled the streets after the game. Some celebrated the win, while others mourned their loss. One Frenchman took the defeat very hard and began crying in the streets. He was visually upset until a young fan from Portugal decided to pass on a few encouraging words.

With all that’s going on in the world, it’s enlightening to see two people from opposing sides come together to support one another. It just goes to show that as humans, we can overlook our differences and respect each other above all else.
