Without a doubt, the two animals I’m most afraid of are sharks and crocodiles.
Sure, I’m well-aware that these creatures are largely misunderstood, but I’m not dumb enough to actually think that they won’t get vicious when faced with a prospective meal. This is why when you visit their natural habitats, you can’t expect to stay safe if you don’t keep your distance.
One woman doesn’t exactly see eye-to-eye with me on this, though. She walked right to the edge of crocodile-infested waters with her tiny dog at Cahill’s Crossing in Australia’s Kakadu National Park without a care in the world. She didn’t even seem worried when one curious crocodile started swimming straight for them. She was confident that her shoe would protect her.
That is one seriously lucky break.
Yes, this lady’s bizarre method really did work, but I’m sure I don’t need to tell you not to try this if you ever find yourself facing down a monster.
