This Guy Turned A Classic Car Into Something That’s Somehow Even Cooler

If you’re a car enthusiast, I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s a total shame when classic cars get too old and broken down to go anywhere except the junkyard.

But thanks to Instructables user NorCalDom, classics can now be memorialized forever by being turned into awesome, comfortable couches! If your car is destined for the crusher but you just can’t bear to part with it (you will find parts for classic cars) , this DIY project is definitely for you.

He also mentioned about purchasing several other materials for the DIY project such as casters, minor parts, and etc. You can pop over here to see more.

To begin, the crafter cut off the end of an old ’57 Chevy.

He then created a metal frame that would support everything when all was said and done.

A perfect fit!

Next, he needed something to hold the seat in place. Two sheets of wood did the trick.

Now for the seat itself! The crafter pulled one out of a ’94 Thunderbird and flipped it upside down, trimming the foam underneath to ensure it would fit.

The seat looks like was made for that couch! But he wasn’t done just yet…

To make it easy for anyone to move the piece, he attached wheel casters to the bottom.

After that, he put together a power station for the final addition.

He’ll never have to leave the couch to charge anything now that he has this awesome power strip at the bottom. He can even plug in a stereo!

Isn’t she a beauty?

If you want to dazzle all of your guests with one of these, you can find the full instructions here. You might want to take those wheels off when they’re around, though. You don’t want them trying to stealing your ride.
