Fathers and daughters usually share special bonds.
I love watching them play together, but I can’t really explain why. I just have a soft spot for father-daughter preciousness. Maybe it’s because it reminds me of all the fun times I had with my own dad during my childhood. In any case, it’s nice to see fathers brightening up their little girls’ lives, and what this man did is no exception.
Redditor tmone‘s daughter, Livia, loves Disney. That’s why he decided to make her a custom tire swing inspired by her favorite mouse, and if that sounds like something your little one would love, here’s how it’s done.
With the help of this cutie, he used soap and degreaser to scrub an old tire clean.
He got to work by spraying it pink and painting the mouse using a cardboard stencil.
He used the same method to add a red bow.
He then used smaller brushes to outline the bow and add a few dots.
Next, he cut her name into paper using Disney-style font.
He could have used spray paint, but he decided to do the lettering by hand to make the project even more special.
After adding some more dots to the tire, he brushed on a few coats of clear polyurethane finish.
When everything was dry, he bolted in three hooks and attached the rope and chains.
The only thing left to do was pick a tree and hang it up!
This is the cutest swing I’ve ever seen.
And that’s one seriously happy little girl.
I just wish I could have seen her face when she first saw the finished product. I’m betting it looked something like this. If you want to replicate this project for your little girl, you can find the full instructions here.
