Whenever I want something, I usually just buy it for myself.
Of course, this makes finding presents a pain for my friends and family, so I try to rein in my desire for instant gratification around my birthday. Though I have to wait longer, I’ll admit that it’s much more satisfying to get the gift you want from someone you love.
This dad must feel the same way, because he waited years to receive his own pair of light-up shoes. When his daughter finally presented them to him one day, he just couldn’t contain his enthusiasm.
This is SO cute.
It’s awesome that such a simple gift could bring him so much joy. I wish we could all appreciate the little things as much as this man does.
