Candy bars, butter, ice cream…nowadays, you can deep-fry just about anything.
But what about water? We’re not talking frying up an ice cube…that’d be cheating.
Using a water sphere made with a calcium alginate membrane, YouTuber Jonathan Marcus wanted to try to make the idea of deep-frying water into a reality. After he covered the droplet in flour, egg, and panko bread crumbs…well, you just have to see this to believe it!
Even though Marcus said it doesn’t taste particularly good, I still really want to try this. I imagine it’s only a matter of time before we start seeing fried water at local carnivals.
