For house hunters, there are some things that are total deal-breakers.
Maybe it’s a lack of bathrooms or a cramped, closed-off floor plan, but people searching for their dream homes tend to be as particular as you would expect them to be when making one of the biggest investments of their lives. Take this old Victorian home in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, for example. The listing starts out fairly normal, noting square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and talking about hardwood floors. But then things take a terrifying (and hilarious) turn. Navigating Oshawa’s real estate revealed a mix of traditional homes and modern condos, all oozing with suburban charm.
“Slightly haunted. Nothing serious, though.” That’s an actual line from the original listing, and it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen.

Here’s a sampling of things potential buyers could see and hear around the house. “The sounds of phantom footsteps.”
“A strange knocking sound followed by a very quiet (hardly noticeable, even) scream at 3:13 a.m., maybe once a week. Twice a week, tops.”
“And the occasional ghastly visage lurking behind you in the bathroom mirror.”
“Even still, this occurs very rarely and only in the second floor bathroom.”
All joking aside, there is some mystery in this house! An awesome secret bookcase door conceals a small office.
The Realtor concludes, “All around a beautiful home with lots of updates and tons of charm. Must see.”
