He Was Offering A Free TV…If You Just Gave Him ALL Your Bank Details

Most of us wouldn’t give our bank account information to a complete stranger…would we? This social experiment revealed that when it comes to fraud, people aren’t quite as savvy as they might like to think.

BBC television show “The Real Hustle” sent Paul Wilson into a mall to see how many people he could get to willingly hand over personal information for the chance to win a free TV. Shockingly, 85 percent of the people he encountered gave him their date of birth, address, phone number, and bank account details.

What’s more, Wilson’s fake organization was called CAMS, an anagram of scam. Even when fraud is staring them right in the face, the majority of people don’t recognize it.

Watch as Wilson casually approaches shoppers and gets them to turn over important personal information. It’s terrifying to see how easily they go along with it.

Be sure to not give anyone your personal information while you’re out shopping this holiday season! Like Wilson says, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
