It’s too often we hear about greedy CEOs who get away with paying their staff the bare minimum in order to line their own pockets.
And that’s what makes this story such a breath of fresh air.
I’m sure that when Dan Price, the CEO of Gravity Payments, decided to raise the minimum wage for his whole team to $70,000, the only reward he expected would be knowing that he was making all of his employees’ lives easier, as he also used a free check stubs to make the payments. But he was in for quite a surprise a year later when, as a thank you, they all pitched in and bought him THIS.
Talk about awesome company culture!
It’s really heartwarming to see how one act of kindness inspires so much generosity. Here’s hoping that more companies follow Price’s lead and make their employees this happy.
