Could This Be Proof That The Black Monk Of Pontefract Actually Exists?

If you’re fascinated by paranormal hauntings like I am, you may have heard of “The Black Monk of Pontefract” in England.

This spirit allegedly haunts the house at 30 East Drive in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. When he was supposedly alive in the 16th century, he raped and murdered a young girl. After he was found guilty, he was hanged near the house and his ghost is said to have stayed there ever since.

In the 1960s, the Pritchard family moved in and claimed to have suffered through years of terror at the hands of this spirit. Fourteen-year-old Diane Pritchard even said that she was dragged down the stairs by her hair at one point.

With all that being said, you can imagine how scared ghost hunters Steve and Carrie Archibald, of Pitch Black Investigations, were when they recently recorded a chair being thrown down the same set of stairs in the middle of the night.

According to Steve, the stroller had been sitting in that spot for eight hours without moving.

While I believe it could very well have rolled on its own, I have to admit it’s pretty strange that it hadn’t done so for that many hours. What do you think?
