An anonymous mother in Jacksonville, Florida, is upset that her second-grader was exposed to NRA gun safety programs without her permission.
As she says, her little son returned home from school one day with the mindset that “not all guns are bad.” While the NRA program Eddie Eagle teaches tells kids some valuable information about guns, it also passes along the message that toy guns are okay. Many parents disagree with the sentiment, saying that toy guns confuse children and help perpetuate a culture of violence.
