Watching Night Turn To Day Because Of A Passing Meteor Is Jaw-Dropping

On December 6, people in Siberia got to witness an incredible sight when a meteor flew by.

It was so bright that it completely lit up the night sky, making it look like daytime for a few seconds. Shortly after it passed by, witnesses heard a bang so loud that it caused car alarms to go off. Some thought it was a bomb, but the sound came from the meteor exploding in the atmosphere.

Though you’d think that the meteor was huge, scientists estimate that it was only between 10 and 15 meters in diameter.

Multiple people were able to capture this awesome event on video.
