This Law Enforcement Training Video Covers A Very Bizarre Kind Of Incident

Back in the 1980s and 1990s, America was dealing with what is now referred to as the “Satanic Panic.” That is, fear of the occult and rituals happening in everyday, suburban America. While today, this panic might seem a little bizarre, back then, millions of people took it incredibly seriously.

The Satanic Panic actually formed a thriving industry for a time with dozens of books, videos, and TV specials on the topic being produced every year. The following 1994 film entitled “Law Enforcement Guide to Satanic Cults” was one of those videos…

In it, so-called “occult experts” explain to police what they should look for to track down and stop Satanic crimes from happening in their neighborhoods.

The training video runs a mind-numbing 73 minutes long and never really seems to draw a conclusion about why “Satanists” are doing these crimes in the first place.

However, if you can make it all the way to the end of the ridiculous video, you are rewarded with the awkward scene of a old “occult expert” demonstrating a human sacrifice ritual on a bikini-clad volunteer.

Complete with dotted lines and X-marks where the evil-doers would make their cuts.

That’s the face of a trained expert in fighting the devil.

Here is the video in its entirety. I couldn’t get past the five-minute mark without cringing.

While we still have quite a ways to go in regards to religious tolerance of all types (Satanism included). At least we can say in 2016 that the majority of Americans don’t quite believe that Satanism is as terrifying as this video makes it out to be.
