Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955, in a private clinic in San Francisco. His biological mother, a student named Joanne Schieble, had to abandon the baby because of her parents’ pressure. When they found out she was pregnant by Abdulfattah Jandali, a Syrian, they threatened to disinherit her.

It was Steve’s foster father, Paul Jobs, who instilled in the child a love for electronics. He also paid for Steve’s education, thereby showing all the ways of the world. Steve Jobs himself didn’t like it when his parents were called “adoptive“: ”They were my parents 1,000%.”

Nicole Richie’s parents raised her up to the age of three and then gave her over to the care of their friend Lionel Richie. This was due to the difficult financial situation of the family: Nicole’s parents simply couldn’t provide her with everything necessary. Six years later, Lionel Richie and his wife, Brenda Harvey-Richie, officially adopted the girl, and Michael Jackson himself became her godfather.

John Lennon

Soon after John’s birth, his parents got divorced. His mother found a new man, and the boy was given away to the care of Aunt Mimi and her husband.

According to Lennon, Mimi was very strict and didn’t approve of the boy’s interest in guitar. As John recalled, she loved to say, “Guitar is a good thing, but it won’t help you earn a living!”
