Some of the cats were terrified, others just ticked. Start with them little, hold them and don't get water on their heads or anywhere near their noses especially. They don't need to be made frightened. You have to be gentle with them. Think how you would feel if you were small like them and slipping around, falling down, etc. It isn't fun to slip, fall, not be able to get out. In nature you die if you can't get out in these circumstances. So while yes, it's funny, it's a little cruel, then people wonder why they get scratched so bad. It's because they are clueless and lack empathy.
