Earthworms are some of the many organisms on this planet that keep our society going. Without them refreshing the soil, you can bet that we’d have a pretty big agricultural problem on our hands.
Despite that, worms are pretty creepy to look at, which is why we’re here to give you some perspective. The next time you pick up a rock and see a bunch of worms underneath, take comfort in the fact that they’re not five feet long.
If you don’t feel like that’d be such a bad sight to behold, I give you the five-foot earthworm in all its glory.

Nope! So much nope. I mean, I guess earthworms are harmless, but I just can’t seem to shake the creepiness of this one. Are we totally sure this isn’t a snake?
