Clowns are supposed to be funny, fun-loving figures who dance around doing silly things that make us laugh. But sadly, that assessment of clowns has not been accurate for a number of years. To most Americans today, clowns are literally the creepiest things you can imagine. In one South Carolina community, a rogue clown has parents locking up tightly to protect their children.
Earlier this month, residents of Fleetwood Manor Apartments in Greenville, South Carolina, said they spotted a man dressed as a clown attempting to “lure children into the woods.”
A letter circulated around the complex that shared the full story after management received a number of complaints about the criminal clown.
Residents estimate that about 200 to 300 children live at the Fleetwood Manor complex.
Police have conducted a search of the area and have stationed officers at the facility.
Luckily, this bout of “clown luring” has not escalated to anything murderous…at least not yet. Let’s hope police find this guy before anything horrible happens.

Now that is a terrifying news story. What kind of person wakes up one day and decides that they’re going to dress like a clown and try to do bad things to kids? They’d better catch this guy.
