Drawing With Water Might Sound Odd, But These Works Of Art Are Incredible

If you’re an artist, you know how to trust the process.

While your friends may look at an unfinished piece and see haphazard lines, you see the bare bones of a new masterpiece. When they see paint splatters, you see colorful suggestions of the final product.

But what if you and your skeptical viewers saw nothing at all until the work was almost finished? That’s a sensation designer, illustrator, and general Jack of all trades JaeSuk Kim knows well. Although his portfolio is full of incredible pieces of varying styles, there’s one method of his that really stands out.

By using watercolor paint, brush pens, and water, Kim creates stunning works of art that are nearly invisible until the second before they’re finished.

The Korean artist works between Seoul and Sydney, Australia, and he’s built an entire world around the creation of his “Susu Girls.”

Over the years, he’s worked as an illustrator, an advertising art director, and an interior designer, among other things.

While every single piece in his portfolio is stunning, his transformative watercolor paintings really resonate with viewers.

And it’s not hard to understand why. Instead of getting a clear picture of a woman in a gorgeous gown coming to life, we are left in murky water until the last minute.
