There is nothing quite like exploring the great outdoors in a beautiful country like Scotland. A trip to the Scottish Highlands has to be one of the most amazing experiences an outdoorsy person could possibly have. However, if you’re planning a visit to the Highlands yourself, you’ll want to time it so you avoid midge season…especially if you hate bugs.

Nope. I can’t. I just can’t. There is nothing I hate more than mosquitos, but these midges come pretty darn close. I think I need to go take a shower or something.
